| Played by: Liam Neeson Liam Neeson is the master of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Qui-Gon does not follow the Jedi Code, and so is not given a position on the Jedi Council. On the planet of Tatooine, Qui-Gon senses the unusually strong presence of the Force in a young slave boy named Anakin Skywalker. Qui-Gon brings the young Skywalker to face the Jedi Council. Qui-Gon tells the leaders of the Council that he believes that Anakin is the chosen one, the one prophesized who will bring balance to the force. The Council tests Anakin and do conclude that the Force is strong with him, but is too old to begin training as a Jedi. This leaves Qui-Gon furious and tells the Council that he will train Anakin himself, but before he is allowed to, the Council sends Qui-Gon to escort the Queen back to the planet of Naboo to draw out the possible Dark Lord of the Sith. |
